360 Virtual Tour
A virtual tour (sometimes referred to as a panoramic tour) is a simulation of an actual location which is typically accessed on a computer (e.g. via a website), or via an interactive kiosk (e.g. at a museum or other place of interest.
A 360° Virtual Tour goes one step further than a traditional photograph. The 360° Tour allows the viewer to interact with the subject matter - to zoom in and out, pan up and down, almost as if they were really there.
PhotoSix provide 360° Virtual Tours for a wide range of clients including hotels, interior designers, estate agents and tourist destinations such as museums and heritage sites.
We pride ourselves on taking the time to understand our client's objectives in order to deliver the very best product. PhotoSix specialise in offering high quality Virtual Tours with superb clarity for an excellent viewer experience. Additionally, we offer a truly end-to-end service, from creation through to inserting the virtual tour into your website, on-location kiosk etc.
The Options
Our Virtual Tours can be supplied in Quicktime or Flash, and can open either in manual mode (the viewer is in total control of the tour and uses the cursor to move around as they please); or in auto-rotation mode (the tour will auto rotate after opening, until the user takes control of the tour).
Cylindrical versus Spherical
A cylindrical panoramic virtual tour has a reduced vertical view (normally around 100° so the user can only pan up and down a little); whereas a Spherical tour has a full 180° vertical view.
In some instances the cylindrical option is a cost effective solution - particularly for outdoor virtual tours; however only a spherical panoramic virtual tour will give the viewer a complete view of the subject matter in every direction, as if they were really there.
